"What is your Good name" Common mistake in English Communication.

"What is your Good name" Correct or incorrect???

We all might have heard people asking "What is your good name please" or "what is your good name". No matter whether it is even in an interview or in an important meeting, we have heard this incorrect way of asking the name. The fact is asking "what is your good name" is an absolutely wrong way of asking someone's name.

Actually, this is an Asian way of asking someone's name in politely or respectfully. But it is not acceptable neither in Brittain nor in American English.
Therefore asking "What is your good name" is incorrect unless the person has one good name and a bad name.

How did this mistake come???
Actually, the sentence "What is your good name" is a direct translation from Hindi (Aapko subah nam kya he). That is the reason to spread this mistake, especially in Asia. In Hindi, it can be used for asking names respectfully but definitely, it is wrong in the English language. Instead, we can ask, " What is your Name please"

Hope you all admit my opinion. Thank you.

History; an art of impeccable deception.

Almost people love history. Because they are the stories of the past. But it's always annoying that how much current history is factual....
